22 - a Veteran's Day WOD(Time) 22 minute AMRAP 22 Wallballs (20/14) 22 Power Snatches (75/55) 22 Box Jumps (24″/20″) 22 Push Presses (75/55) 22 Situps Females throw wall balls to a 9′ target, and for all athletes, step-ups on the box jumps are allowed. On both the wall balls and the barbell movements, we are looking for a weight that allows us to do a minimum of 22 repetitions unbroken if we had to when fresh. This workout was designed with a somber cause in mind. Every day in the United States, 22 of our veterans commit suicide. This is a staggering fact. Some of America’s bravest, most highly trained warriors fall victim to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and suffer daily in silence. Too often, we lose them. What is left behind them is a White Star Family – a family who has lost a military serviceman/woman to suicide. We have too many. |
